Based on the proven Shock Wave design, the U‑Beut 27 MHz ½λ base‑station antenna is one of the most popular CB antennas on the market. It comes pre‑tuned for 27 MHz citizens band operation, but it can also be used effectively on other services, including the 27 MHz Australian Marine band.
SWR can be adjusted moving the tap point. The heavy-duty impedance matching coil is made from aluminum tube not flimsy aluminum wire.
The U-Beut antenna has grey conduit and not orange. Why may you ask?
You may have noticed that orange PVC gradually fades to white and becomes brittle over time. That’s because it’s designed for underground use. Grey PVC, on the other hand, is UV‑stable and offers far better long‑term durability for a base‑station antenna.
Each antenna is individually serial‑numbered, guaranteeing you’re getting a genuine U‑Beut antenna, handcrafted in Melbourne.
